The Trumpet Cord Knot can be used for bracelets or other decorative uses. Despite being formed from a single strand, the structure is the same as a traditional three strand braid excepting the endpoints. The braid can be extended by starting with longer initial segments and repeating the braiding pattern, finally tucking the end strand through the bottom bight to finish the braid.
